SAN FRANCISCO UNIVERSITY HIGH, 2011
I was a faculty adviser on a recent school field trip led by City Clues Adventures.
As the students sprinted through the various activities, I was very impressed with Linda &
Beths organization and creativity. The questions were just the right level to be
challenging but not impossible, and the wide range of different types of tasks
(traditional scavenger hunts, poetry writing, skits) kept the students engaged throughout
the day. I have encouraged my school to use City Clues again, and I recommend it highly to
other groups who want to learn more about San Francisco and to have a lot of fun, too.

CITY CLUES BACHELORETTE PARTY, 2011
One of my girl friends got engaged and placed myself and another friend in charge of her
bachelorette party. I wanted something fun for the out of town folks, but nothing too
expensive. I came across City Clues Adventures on Google and decided to give it a shot.
I got in touch with Beth and Linda and found them to be very responsive and informative.
They emailed me back promptly and were able to cater to my bachelorette theme requests.
Throughout the tour they gave us various scavenger hunts to do. They gave us
enough alone time that we didn't feel overwhelmed or crowded, but were there to
give us plenty of things to keep us occupied. Linda took lots of pictures of our group and
emailed them to me the day after our tour. I dont have one negative thing to say about
this tour and would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a fun, low budget activity
to do with friends in San Francisco. One tip: be sure to wear comfy shoes, as there is a
lot of walking. Thanks Beth and Linda for a memorable day in the city with friends!

CITY CLUES ADVENTURES FOR FAMILIES, 2011
We loved every minute of our City Clues Adventure! Our kids enjoyed finding treasures in
China Town, and spotting clues in North Beach. Beth was an energetic, knowledgeable and
friendly tour guide, who taught us many new facts about SF in an engaging, fun manner. The
friendly competition added a reality show touch, which made the whole thing feel
more like a game than a tour. As an added bonus, we met two wonderful families visiting from
Holland, and even learned a few words of Dutch. Anyone visiting San Francisco with children
should absolutely sign up for this tour!

Our scavenger hunt began Downtown, as we divided into two competing teams.
Our task was to complete five rounds of intense competition and connect
with the eclectic culture of San Francisco. The first round was answering
questions about the buildings around Union Square, sneaking into hotels
and conversing with tourists to uncover local secrets.... Our final destination
was North Beach, home to the city’s poetic heart.... City Clues was an innovative
and exciting way to gain a better understanding and appreciation for our
beautiful city.

The activity that you played with us in which we split up into two teams
was action packed and got adrenalin pumping through all of us. It made me
feel as if I were on a TV game show like The Amazing Race.
-Nico
The scavenger hunts were amazing! While we were rushing around Chinatown
and Fisherman’s Wharf and running down Lombard Street, we saw so many famous
landmarks.
-Anna
You gave us challenges that we had to ask some of the other people. With
that skill required, you helped me sharpen my bravery skill. You also helped
me to better understand teamwork.
-Jamila
Finding the clues all over Chinatown was really fun and I learned a few
new facts.
-Lily
Instead of making us follow you around everywhere and listen to you talk,
you made our tour into a challenging and exciting scavenger hunt. I had
a great time competing against some of my classmates, while working together
with others at the same time. This trip made me realize how little I knew
about the city I’ve lived in for so long. Thanks for making our trip not
only educational, but very fun as well.
